Ahem. Sorry, but according to me, Arwen was
hyped, not improved. My views, like yours, are mixed. The CGI and other visual effects, not to mention the costumes, were brilliant. But Jackson absolutely killed the characterization. Merry and Pippin? Gimli? FARAMIR?? Even Frodo! Heck, I can't think of a character these guys did not pick apart.
Sure, it's a cool movie, but it is NOT Lord of the Rings.
