There is absolutely no requirement that they be--in my case and Mistress Fea's, there is a healthy dose of laziness involved. It helps, in our cases, to be instantly recognisable, since, well, we're the Mods (Piosennial was the name of the first Green Dragon innkeeper, and Bęthberry the first White Horse Moderator.)
That being said, it would be amusing for the trend to continue.
