Yes, it's horrible. I read an article in which some people psycho-analyzed the characters of the Winnie the Pooh books, and they said that some of them were gay.... I mean, come
on people, it's a kid's story! And in LotR, just because two people (or hobbits) are very close friends does not mean they're homosexual. My best friend and I deffinetly love each other, but that doesn't mean it's a physical sort of attraction. I don't really see why people can't understand that.
