The Eye

The Green Dragon's door creaked open a few inches and most of the diners looked up, eager to appraise the newcomer. There were frowns and murmers of surprise, however, when the guest proved to be a large, nondescript white dog. He sauntered into the room and began sniffing greedily around the tables, hoping for scraps. Dwarin rose, but before he could shoo the bothersome creature outside where he belonged, a figure appeared in the doorway. It was wrapped in so many layers that it was impossible to discern sex or race. It's cry of "Feaer! Come here!" at least proved it was female, however.

The dog gave a last longing sniff under one of the Hobbits' chairs and obediantly returned to his mistress' side. She looked around the room for a moment and then began removing her layers. It soon became clear that her clothing hadn't revealed as much as it had seemed to. She was a massive woman, tall and strong. A soldier? But how would a woman have come upon such a career?

She looked around the room a moment more, and then strode forward and sat down at one of the tables to eat. The dog, Feaer, followed her and lay down under her chair.
Some few in the room recognised her, at least on sight, though none could remember speaking to her.
