Raye allowed Tallin to comfort her, something she had not allowed anyone to do, save Berethion. She was surprised to see that the one whom she tried to kill was the one who saved her life. Raye had misjudged the wolf tamer. She wondered how many others she had done the same to.
The murderess had made so many mistakes during her life time. Berethion had told her that she must learn from them. But did she really have a chance to learn from all those mistakes? Raye hoped so. She deserved to die, but she wanted to live. She wanted a second chance. She wanted to prove that she was not a monster.

Raye opened her tear streaked eyes and looked at Tallin. But the wolf tamer was no longer focused on her but instead had her head turned at the now conscious Hwesta. Raye could tell by the look on her face that the elf had figured the fate of her brother. Unable to face her, the murderess turned her head away in guilt.
"We should move," she heard Tallin say.
The wolf tamer pulled her up with her uninjured arm and Raye did not resist. But once she was on her feet, Raye doubled over in pain and collapsed. The wound Dimithil had given her was deeper than she thought. Covered in Berethion's, Tallin's, and her own blood, the murderess suddenly felt battle worn. Her breathing was labored, and her entire side ached with pain.
Tallin noticed this, and tried to tend to her, but she stopped, grimacing in pain as she cradled her injured arm.
"Dimithil!" she cried out to the elf, who was tending his sister.
Immediately he was at the wolf tamer's side, offering help.
"Bind Raye's wound. Quick," Tallin ordered, gritting her teeth.
Dimithil looked at her then at Raye.
Raye looked at the elf, fresh tears blurring her vision. "Please," she whispered.
Dimithil hesitated a moment more before tearing cloth from his cloak to bind the murderess's wound.
Not far from them, Tallin sat, still cradling her arm watching helplessly as Hwesta grieved for her brother.
The wolf tamer then looked around the cave, searching.
"What is it?" Raye asked wearily.
Tallin looked over at the murderess, her face lined with worry.
"Arrelle is missing," she said.
