Admittedly these are only really represented by Galadriel in the Lord of the Rings, but otherwise Feanor and the brood are as Byronic as it gets...which is why I love them, or partly why. Yes, I agree Italian mistresses are thin on the ground in Tolkien, but Celegorm has urges enough for eight, and Celebrimbor beats Ada Lovelace hollow...
