There's an interesting article by Alison Flood in the UK newspaper
The Guardian, which says that 2 poems by Tolkien were found in the 1936 Annual of Our Lady's School, Abingdon, Oxfordshire:

They were found when Wayne Hammond contacted the school's headteacher, Stephen Oliver, after having found a note by Tolkien referring to the 2 poems.
The poems are 'Noel', about Christmas, and 'The Shadow Man', an early version of the poem published as 'Shadow-Bride' in
The Adventures of Tom Bombadil (1962).
