Sam said "What did I tell you? Something's happening!" to Frodo when they gazed westward and saw and heard the cry of one of the Nazgûl flying back towards the Dark Tower announcing the fall of the Lord of the Ringwraiths. (Of course they didn't know what had happened, but Sam knew from Gorbag & Shagrat's argument that the war wasn't going well for Sauron.)
