1st line ends with the death of Helm Hammerhand and his two sons in battle with the dunledings, and is followed by Helms sister son Frealaf.

2nd line ends with the death of Theoden and previous death of Theodens only son Theodred at the Battles of the fords of Isen, and is followd by Theodens sister son Eomer.
