I've a notion this might work. Thank you to the author of "Middle Earth Signs" for the title. Always an inspiration.

Aries (The Ram)- Perhaps Gandalf the leader
Taurus (The Bull)- Boromir, stubborn (let's say determined instead), in defense of his home
Gemini (The Twins)- Pippin and Merry, the jokers (also, some people find them very similar... also ties in to the old/mature twin and young/immature twin)
Cancer (The Crab)- Faramir?
Leo (The Lion)- Aragorn, the king
Virgo (The Virgin)- Arwen
Libra (The Scales)- Frodo, indecisive as always
Scorpio (The Scorpion)- Sauron, plotting fellow (sorry Scorpios!)
Sagittarius (The Archer)- Legolas, not through personality but by occupation
Capricorn (The Goat)- Gimli?
Aquarius (The Waterbearer)- Sam
Pisces (The Fish)- Somehow, it makes me think of Galadriel, ethereal and so on

So I have to work on a few... Not bad for five minutes' work though!
