Hello everybody!
Which of the six books in the LotR is your favourite? Mine is book one, the first half of the Fellowship of the Ring, where we meet Frodo, Sam and all the rest. I love the description of Bree and the adventure with Tom Bombadil. I don't think anything compares to meeting Strider for the first time and mistaking him for a villain.

Aye indeed.
But my favourite one is the "Return of the King", because of its battle-sequences and its suspence ,no one could ever forgot the fight for Minas-Tirith or the Destruction of the Dark Lord or the Crowning of the new King .

The first half of FOTR was good with the Old Forest, the Barrows, and of course the meeting of Tom Bombadil, but my personal favorite would have to be the first half of TTT. Thats when we see the return of Gandalf, the very slow and forgetful but wise Treebeard and of course The battle at Helms Deep.

FOTR Book 2, ahhh, the time of Boromir. Being that he is my favorite character and it's so much fun to talk, and learn, about the complex mind of this controversial Fellowship member.

The CbC seems to have taken its toll on you, Boromir88...
![]() As for me, it's RotK...the time for a mighty woman like Eowyn to shine and show what she can do...and get what she deserves in the end. With her being one of my favorite character and having been in a situation similar to hers, I love reading how she handles circumstances. Oh, I can hardly wait for CbC to discuss RotK!!! |

My favourite book is Book 2, for its description of Boromir.
A close second is Books 5 and 6, for one very special Steward.
