i think i'd like to be Human. nothing too complicated. it's just: I don't like the idea of fighting with a bow and arrows like the elves prefer to do, although it certainly is a little safer than swinging around with a huge and enormously heavy sword [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]. but enough about the weapons (you could of course check out this).
are there really some straaaange people out there that would like to be an Orc or even a Troll? let me know!

I'd have to twist the elvish race for me...

On Tenduriel's side, I don't like using a bow and arrows, but I prefer swords. An elf because they are wise, agile, and ready for anything, even death. Qualities to be admired. Just a sword...guess I'd be the oddball of the race, huh? [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

id say the dwarves. reason 1) i am very short. other reasons:
i luv their history. such as the battle of azanulbizar, and even further back, their making by aule. and i like the fact that they could not be...um...ive forgotten. something like they could not be controlled by their dwarven rings, or sumthing

My favorite races are hobbits and elves. The elves are immortal and all that, but I think I'd rather be a hobbit. I probably wouldn't have to master a weapon, except maybe for throwing stones. I like the race of men best, because the while the gift of Eru to the elves might be nice, there development will peter out after a while. On the othe hand, the gift to men keeps us advancing.

My favourite race in Arda is the Mount Gundabad 5 League Uphill Challenge. The terrain is tricky, the air is thin, and the fact that both Orcs and Dwarves enter the race always makes for an interesting event, and a few fun-filled days afterwards.

My favorite race is definitely that of the dwarves. They're awesome, and I love almost all of their history. *puts a big smudge of white-out over any account of Mim* I especially like the way they were created. I don't like all the elves, (particularly Feanor and co.) but the Teleri are pretty cool. Also, in a complete contradiction of my favoritism towards dwarves, I love the ents! Boy, am I messed up. I'd like to open up the field a bit to include Eagles. I've decided that having language, (rather than an opposable thumb) to be the major criteria as to what "races" can be included in your topic.
I would choose to be an Eagle of the First Age. To be able to fly, an observer of all that is going on everywhere in Arda, messenger of Manwe, hero -- swooping in at last possible second to save the day (really gets the adrenalin going) -- all in one package would really make me happy.

Half-Dwarf half-human (must have been one drunk human chick), but really I'd love the stamina of a dwarf along with the interesting beard styles and Strength. but being a little bit taller, fairer skinned, and bright (depending on how smart of a dwarf you had)...it jsut seems so perfect for me. .....
