Lal gave birth to a boy last night - 10.30. Mother & baby are both fine.

(Sorry there's no more details at the moment, but its 2.40 am here & I've just got back from the Hospital. Eleven pounds 3 ounces by caesarian. And now to bed.)

Of course I don't know anything about birthing children, because I am not old enough yet to do so since I am only thirteen! Other than, when my little brother was born, a matter of six and a half years ago he was purple!

I will say this again... he's soooooooooo cute!!!!!
I say you should name him a sensible hobbit name, like ummm... not Ted Sandyman or Lotho Sackville-Baggins!!!!!

If you aint seen me blog lately...The big little guy is now weighing in at 13lb 11oz and is two foot tall, so almost Hobbit sized in height if not in girth. He's learnt to smile and giggle and is currently eating his fist while listening to The Pogues. He laughs at monkey noises and davem blowing raspberries and currently has his very first bout of 'man-flu'

I always think it is a conundrum, to describe a baby's size before he or she walks: is it really "tall" or would "long" be more appropriate?

He's got a beautiful smile. Isn't it worth all the world and loss of sleep to see that smile? especially when it comes just after an upchuck or the umpteenth nappy change five minutes after the previous one, which drenched the bed too.
