I'll never think of that word in a positive fashion ever again. I wonder, why did you pick choice? There doesn't seem to be much choice in the books at all; instead, things seemed to be pre destined. I didn't mean to belittle your choices, Gwathagor, I just thought it interesting that you picked that word.

And then, of course, there is the line: "All we have to decide to what to do with the time that is given to us." I would also like to submit that predestination and personal responsibility (i.e. choice) are by no means contradictory.

A most interesting addition, Eönwë, particularly in light of the one word I suggested previously: dustsceawung. The two words suggest a thread about which concept predominates in LotR.

Yeah, I know. But it's taken as one word. It's like saying 'long-run'. Technically, it's two words, but it's taken as one If I had to say one word that comes even close, it would be 'fable', but that goes off-center.
