				The grave of Tolkien

If I'm posting this message to a wrong forum or something like that, please inform me, because this is the first time I write here. My question is.. I want to visit Tolkien's grave in Wolvercote Cemetery, Oxford. I have been in England only once in my life, so I don't know much about it. If someone of you have visited the grave, please tell me how to get there. I'm going to travel from London to Oxford by bus, but after that, I don't know what to do. I haven't succeed in finding a proper web-site which could help me. |

There's a thread down in the Barrow Downs forum about a visit to Tolkiens grave. Why don't you start there: http://forum.barrowdowns.com/showthread.php?t=10958

The only times I've been to Tolkien's grave were with the Tolkien Society, & they organise a coach, so I can't help much, but I have found the Oxford Bus Company site: http://www.oxfordbus.co.uk/timetable...?1091540239082 This seems to be the relevant bus. There's also a contact no & e-mail address on the page. |

The cemetery is on the corner of Five Mile Drive and the Banbury Road ..... however the Woodstock road is nearby also so buses shouldn't be a problem. http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.sr...=newsearch.srf This is a map of that bit of Oxford. I hope....
