Hurt and Heal Round 3
Okay let's start taking nominations. This round will be only from characters that appear in Lord of the Rings.

The rules will be the same as last time as it seemed to work well enough.

From 20 to 7 - each player has 3 votes: 2 hurts and 1 heal. Double hurts are allowed.

From 6 to 4 - each player has 3 votes: 2 hurts and 1 heal. Double hurts ar not allowed: a player has to hurt 2 different characters and heal one, or he may use only 1 hurt and 1 heal.

When but 3 characters are left each player has either a hurt or a heal.

Wait for at least four posters to vote prior to you voting again.

These rules can change whenever deemed appropriate.

Let's begin nomination but go easy on them so as to not monopolize the decisions.

I must say I second Dain II Ironfoot
one of the more remarkable (and generally
overlooked) of dwarves, and the owner
of yet another cool moniker.

Btw, there's this tidbit about dwarf armor related to
him, indicating one reason for dwarf prowess in battle:
Quote:
King of the Lonely Mountain during the War of the Ring. Dain was born in 2767. He was of the line of Durin and was the son of Nain and the grandson of Gror, who led a company of Dwarves to settle in the Iron Hills.
At the Battle of Azanulbizar in 2799, Nain was killed by the Orc leader Azog. Dain, who was only a young Dwarf at the time, avenged his father by cutting off Azog's head with his red axe. Dain then looked through the East-gate into Moria and became aware that Durin's Bane, the Balrog, still lurked there. Dain came away from the Gate with a look of great fear, and he counselled his cousin Thrain that the time had not yet come for the Dwarves to enter Moria.

Dain returned to the Iron Hills where he took over from his father as the leader of the Dwarves there. Among the items wrought by Dain's people were leg-coverings of fine and flexible mesh that only they knew how to make.

so unless there are any major objections to this, such as Rikae with Sam. Does anybody else have a major concern with this? Let us move on and begin to vote. Let's wait at least a few hours to allow people to express their opinion. As much as I love Sam I'm okay if he's not on as I don't know how I will handle two oustings.

I would be willing to save Caradhras, but we should come up with some agreed targets. I have a funny story about a rather large rock...I just wish that rock was as alive as Caradhras, we might have won.

I would not be willing to eliminate Gollum, but any of the other hobbits wouldn't bother me. Lobelia is somewhat of an interesting character, but she's expendable.
