Re: How many people have read UT, or HoME?

HoME 3 contains the stories of Turin and Beren, along with other tidbits in poetry form. Slow reading but truly remarkable. I understand that the poetry version rather than the prose outline version is what was submitted to Unwin's reader when the Sil. was rejected back in the 1920s or 1930s. This was (apparently) an error which led JRRT to believe it was not publishable when, in fact, it had not been read.
