Nárello sat on the counter watching the lady in white talk with another. After a time the lady in white went towards the stables and another came towards him. She was caring a large case. Ugh. Medicine. The boy made a face inside.

"This looks as if it needs attention."

It's just a scratch, the boy complained to himself. But he had to admit it did feel better when the lady was finished.

"Narello, let me look at this again tonight and see if we have any improvement."

He grinned again. "I'm not going anywhere." With that he returned to the last of the apples.
