Stormdancer of Doom
|
a dose of mayhem
Here's some:
However, this brought a fresh round of fury from Lîn. "As if this concerned you! Release him!" And not wanting a bloody nose of is own, the dwarf who had restrained Narin let him go. "Have at you!" Lîn snarled. But Narin blocked both Lîn's punches with his forearms, and then gave a low gutteral roar of his own. Now it was Lîn's turn to block punches, and Narin kept him busy with a torrent of close, tight jabs. Lîn began to slowly back up. Balin began slowly walking towards the two, and the other dwarves watched him, wondering why he did not order them to stop. His hand began to come up, and he opened his mouth to speak. Lîn sidestepped and shifted his weight, and came around with a left hook to Narin's jaw. Those watching heard a thud, and Narin swayed a little. But Lîn also stepped back, a blank expression on his face. Balin smiled. Narin recovered, and the rain of jabs began again. Lîn tried another hook, but Narin was ready, and blocked it. He sidestepped; Lîn punched hard, and missed, losing his balance; Narin pressed his advantage, and three successive jabs connected. Lîn stepped back. He was on the defensive now, and Narin knew it.
