Huan, the Hound of Valinor: everything he does, everything he says, but especially the part in which he leaps into the air and catches the arrow meant for Luthien. I just love that dog! (OK, I also cried for Old Yeller!)

And, of course, the entire tale of Beren and Luthien *sniffle*
