I feel that Sam and I are like parallels of each other, more and more lately. If I was sucked into LOTR, I would be Sam.
I like Legolas from the book because he's a great aim, and seems so wise. The movie Legolas for above mentioned reasons

Aragorn because he's a great leader, and hot in the movie. Even without baths.
Pip and Merry bacause of that wonderful friendship. Tom Bombadillo, all the horses, people of Rohan, Gimil and of course Gandalf are on the list too.
