Err surely the courtship phase is over? And engagement surely by definition happens when the date of marriage is more or less decided (ie engaged to be married at that date ? ) Or maybe I am hopelessly old fashioned ? Some of the most successful relationships I know were established after quite short courtships - much more positive, than a lot of dripping about, (in Middle Earth cf Faramir and Eowyn and Aldarion and Erendis ).....
