Hmmm, I didn't know about the differences in versions...I can't help anybody out there!

I didn't know there was an extra easter egg in ROTK, but I thought that the first one became tedious when I watched it for the second time

It was that way for me also, just dragged on a little much. There's one scene in the second disc where it does somewhat of the same thing, but oh well.
