Numenoren kings and the end of Disney's Biambi

Watching Biambi a couple of weeks ago, while watching the ending, I noticed how similar the great Prince's death was to the deaths of the Numenoren kings. For those who want context. Biambi's father was an old and majestic deer and at the end Biambi's "wife" had given birth to twins and the other animals said that Biambi must be proud of them. Then the camera goes up to the rock where Biambi and his father are standing and then the father turns and starts walking away to probably lay down and die because he is so old. This seems reminiscent of how the earlier kings of Numenor would pass the scepter to their son then die.
