Elianna has just left Hobbiton.
Tolkien And they tell us to throw it all away!

So about the Bakshi cartoon...

Usually this movie sticks closer to the book than PJ does, but in its Mirror of Galadriel scene, they severely messed it up. Galadriel's tempation by the Ring is terrific (in every sense of the word) in the book, but in the Bakshi version, they throw this all away and instead have Galadriel lightly laugh off Frodo's offer. "Hahaha, no Frodo, you silly widdle Hobbit, I pass your test," she says as she twirls around and plays with her dress.

Why? Does this have any connection to Boyens, Walsh and Jackson deciding not to have Faramir say "I would not pick it up if it lay by the highway"?
