Cordelia gasped at what he said. How could he just believe someone that had tried to set them on fire?

"Garnae, I know Thomas. He would never do anything willingly. Why are you believing the words of man that tried to kill us all?" She asked him, clutching desperately to his arm. She wasn't sure she could stand on her own.

Her eyes looked up at the villagers that were finishing puting out the fire. She hoped that they would allow her to live her life in peace. She hadn't killed the man. She had only been trying to defend her friends.
