Prince of Mirkwood
I never understood why Tolkien never refered to Legolas as the Prince of Mirkwood. Legolas didn't join the captains when they discussed plans for further battle after the Battle of Pelanor Field. I can only guess that because he never brought any troops of his own he didn't feel he had a right to this meeting, but he was still a prince and was never referred to as one.
