Bah! The “their” referred to the “some”, ie those who would be lynched - only a proportion of those being addressed (the "you"). Perfectly good grammar! And what’s a linguistician anyway?

Hmmm. But it should have been "your" as the sentence was in the second person. If you say "their" it becomes third person, meaning you're talking to everybody except those who will die at the hands of their companions.

I think.
