No one's playing the questionable Mungo? Who introduced him? Should I pick him up and play him, or is he simply a NPC for everyone who wishes?

With your outline, I'll read quickly through the posts and maybe post this weekend.

I'll be looking forward to your returning, Mith. Hope the swimming goes well. I've swam in cold water before. It can be fun, depending on if you want to prove something, or miserable, if you just want to be comfortable.
