Kettle of fish has just left Hobbiton.
Pipe At the entrance to the mines

I've always wondered, if Moria was a dwarven stronghold, and with the general enmity between the elves and the dwarves - why did Gandalf have to say 'friend' in Elvish to open the doors. Shouldn't it have been in Dwarvish?
