Okay, posted. Eodwine's and Rowenna's reactions to Laerdil. Let me know if you think I'm overdoing it. It's hard to gauge this kind of thing. Tolkien had a skill for these kinds of comparisons, and all I can do is either copy or imagine, or a mixture of both.
