There was a serious point amidst my careless verbiage. Not only do I dislike the appearance of 'just my two cents' and its variations but I am unsure of the etymology of the phrase.

Maril, if you notice my time of posting, I was firmly ensconced at my desk at the time, as I am still, without hope of any reprieve, let alone an alcoholic one. Still, only four or five more hours left now, I hope.
