I think that two cents is an understatement or an overstatement for the worth of some posts. For example, many of you have imparted priceless bits of wisdom worth far more than two cents.

On the other hand, some posts and posters (not mentioning any names) put valueless messages up as a matter of routine. For example, quoting the entire above post, and then saying "I agree" or "lol" (I hate that).

So maybe 2 cents is an average of the valuable and the invaluable.
