It seems that not many people are obsessed with sam, as i am. he's so faithful and I love to read the part were he talks to the "dead" Frodo "dont leave me here alone!" i knew frodo wasnt dead but i still cry when i read it.

Pippin and Merry are at the top of my list. Mainly because I realized I'm the most like them. I enjoy song and eating. I'm pretty clumsy too, (much like the wonderful Pippin) and they're dang funny.
Next comes Theoden, Eomer, and Eowyn. I love Rohan and all the people in it. At first it was because they are the Horselords and I love horses, but I also admire them. They are strong and loyal and I'd love to live amoung them.

My fav characters:
Gandalf: because he's so wise and powerful, but still he's so down to earth. He's got humour and appreciates the simple things; like hobbits! Gollum: He's kind off evil, although he can't help it. It's a bit scary to see how he ends up after being corrupted by the Ring. Pippin: Because he doesn't quite understand the war and all the evil. You know: 'why can't we all live in peace?' Legolas: Because he's so darn hot! ~*~Míriel~*~

Whoopee for unexpected Boromir support!
Boromir was really an emotional being.

My favorite in Lord of the Rings is Faramir, because he is the one who I connect with the most.
But if we're talking Tolkien on a broader scale, I must say Fingolfin. He challenged Morgoth for the lives of his people, even knowing that he might fail. And he kept fighting, when he could have run to safety. If that isn't an example of bravery, I don't know what is, even though his decision was, as Fangorn would say, a bit hasty. I also want to say that although these two come out on top for me, there isn't one character in LotR who I didn't like. Tolkien wrote his characters amazingly well.

Treebeard for me. So ancient, clever, sad, happy, friendly, powerful and funny.

Denethor, obviously. I feel for him. And we connect.
Second to that, Finduilas. I identify with her more than any other character. Other: Faramir. I'm actually more similar to him than I previously recognised. I'm a bit of a disappointment to my family as well. I'm also a sucker for Imrahil. I just adore him. And Forlong the Fat. He amuses me. And I suppose Boromir as well. He's a rather nice fellow. Why oh why do I like so many of them? Makes it awfully hard to choose. Maybe I can just simplify it to 'anything Gondorian'. And with a pulse. That rules Denethor out then....
