Actually I think it works...

That is Eru the one

"Haunted, you are,"
Men are haunted by the Ones gift

"until you have found what it is you search for"
Till they recieve it... die.

"none ever hear my voice save for whispers in the dark"
Even Manwe, I seem to remember, consulted Iluvatar by listening to the winds.

"my possibilities are endless as vast as the knowledge the soul of the world can contain"
What is that if not a creator god?

Might not be right, but come to think of it, it DOES fit... Is it right?
