Please, please do not split up the group. Why would they agree to let the two of you go when they're out to find the book as well? Also, does Anuion have some sort of magic power that lets him see into other people's thoughts or something? As the reader/writer, you might read things that are secrets, or something else that people don't actually know about (ie, other character's thoughts/feelings). Just remember that your character does not know everything that you know about from reading. Unless Anuion is told something, he doesn't know it. Don't make unrealistic leaps like that.
