Rudchamion ordered her into the tree and she complied. She tried to force herself not to shake as she lifted Khelek up. Once in the tree, she fumbled under her robes and found her knife.

It was a simple one, silver with the handle wrapped in leather, and small. It was easy to throw and was the one thing that provided her with food for all of her long journey. She remembered the kind peddlar that gave it to her for a very low price, considering it's worth :"I forsee you will need it in the future milady. May it bring you safety, though I would rather you never see danger" She thanked the old man and told him she would never forget his kindness...

The cold of the air almost froze the breath in her throat. She studied the ground, though her eyes did little service. She saw the elves and wolf pup react just as she saw a movement below. Both released arrows and a bloodchilling sound let out from the forest floor. Taralphiel poised her dagger but could not see enough to throw. Then she saw a faint movement, and took the chance. The dagger sped downward and she listened to see if it hit...
