To tell the truth, I see a smaller group needed at Meneltarma. They will be perfectly hidden, no enemies, no big folk, just sunshine and surfing. Gosh, they probably don't even have viruses or bacteria. They'll live a long, long time.

It's the poor guys in the Anduin who need more hobbits to survive since all the nasty big folk are out there hunting them down with dogs. Cami better learn to run fast. (I should never have read Bird's posts in the Gathering!)

What is a 'viable' number for a group to survive and multiply (hobbits are good at that!)? Or do we just use whatever we want? How about 250 Meneltarma, and 550 Anduin? Anyone else have feelings on this?
