Silmaril

After finishing her drink, Autumn asked Ruby for another cup of ale and some meat for her dogs. Taking the plate that had two pieces of meat lying on it, the hobbit lass walked outside and placed it on the ground. Her two dogs ate the meat hungrily, as the hobbit stroked their ears gently.

While staring off towards the setting sun, Autumn saw a tall figure approaching the Green Dragon. The person was wore a long, silver cloak, and the hood was pulled low over the figure's face. As it came closer, the hobbit lass suddenly realized who she was staring at and ran to greet her old friend with open arms.

The elf watched Autumn running towards her, she threw back her hood, laughing all the while, to reveal a fair face, with soft, crystal blue eyes, that seemed to dance with light, and golden hair that fell past her shoulders. When the two friends reached one another they embraced and Autumn's dogs barked hapily, trying to jump up and lick the elf.

Separating themselves, they looked at one another and smiled, for it had been a long time since they had last met. "I believe, Galadel," said Autumn cheerfully, "that you have grown much more beautiful since last I saw you, and, though it may seem odd for an elf of your age, even taller."

Galadel laughed. "You, my dear friend seem to have increased in beauty and even height," replied the elf in a soft, musical voice, "since last I laid eyes upon you. '

The friends laughed, and went into the inn together, followed by Autumn's dogs, talking about old times. Smiles were on their faces as they sat at the bar, laughing, talking, and singing. Autumn ordered a cup of ale for her friend, and sat there sipping their drinks and speaking of the new happenings in their lives.
