And I'm thinking that these people are unlikely to pick up a book in the first place. Let alone three!!<br> <br> I feel that these movies are going to fill the gap between the 70's and today. The gap that has grown wider each year as more and more people become unaware of the existence of Middle-Earth. Nobody's heard of JRR Tolkien anymore. But now they will. And suddenly there will be thousands of new readers running to the bookstores. And thousands of old readers reaquainting themsleves with an old friend.<br> <br> Watch this forum grow after the first trailer. Then be prepared for an explosion of growth next Christmas. Let's think of it as our duty to educate those people that come here.
