I think you are all reading far too much into this one comment.a) She may not have meant it the way it sounded b) She may have genuinely believed that, for her, that part was better than the book. Her opinion. Free to state it. c) After putting 5 years of work into these movies, I think she's entitled to feel proud of what she's helped to do.Fair enough, she perhaps shouldn't have said that part of Tolkien's books was lacking. That's her opinion. You have yours. Why get so angry about it?
