I don't quite understand why so many people find The Matrix to be nothing more than mindless, futuristic action that only appeals to younger audiences with great special effects. The Matrix, just like The Lord of the Rings movies, has a great story behind it as well as lots of Biblical allusion. I like The Lord of the Rings movies more than The Matrix, but I don't think anybody should even attempt to compare them...they both rock.
