I think Connery is too "serious" for a role like Bombadil. I keep hearing that he was offered a part in the trilogy, but refused because he didn't understand it Too bad. He woulda been a great Denethor, Saruman or Theoden.<P>EDIT: On second thought, no not Theoden.
