We are so used to the archetypical characters that Tolkien has created, but Jackson isn't doing that. He's having the characters growing and changing. He's doing it with Aragorn and Faramir, and he's doing it with Elrond. In the movie, Elrond is ready to leave and to take his daughter with him. <P>The line from Haldir is more about showing the audience that Elrond is begining to turn a corner regarding these issues. A change in attitude that will continue into RotK.<P>H.C.
