It ties in with the whole "look for me at dawn" statement and is a strategy that was used by armies (sun glinting off shields, etc.).<P>Although I love elves I thought they could have done a much more realistic job of the Legolas jump onto the horse. I also hated the snowboarding (sheildboarding?) down the stairs thing.
