You know you're obsessed with LOTR when...
... your friend pays you the highest complement you have ever received when she says "You think I'm obsessed?! You should talk to my friend the Elusive Spirit." I now brag about this to everyone who even shows a hint of interest! (Or even if they don't, and oddly they usually don't)

... possibly the best birthday present next to the silver looking arrows from dad, is the promise of a black cloak to go RPGing in from your boyfriend.
