Yes, he is "seriously tall". He is an intimidating figure, for sure. I think he would allow a nickname, but he would most likely just look at whoever said it without a real reaction.

Erebemlin means Lonely Bird...accent on Er- and -em-. I see him as someone who has been lonely since his father died, and he has tried to fill that space with his loyalty to Amroth and Lorien.

I most certainly plan to develop his character, and use his non-smiling nature in the game. I'm sure he may smile on occasion...a rare occasion. It may be something where he has been with Mellon/Amroth on the road for some time, and something humorous is said or happens, and Erebemlin actually smiles or jokes and everyone stops and stares in shock.

If you think he's too serious, I can work on it. However, I want him to be intense.
