Far as I can tell, the British Army/Royal Marines Military Ranks are as follows (from the bottom):

Private
Lance Corporal
Corporal
Sergeant
Staff/Colour Sergeant
Warrant Officer 2nd Class
Warrant Officer 1st Class
2nd Lieutenant
Lieutenant
Captain
Major
Lieutenant Colonel
Colonel
Brigadier
Major General
Lieutenant General
General

It differs in the other branches of the armed forces, however. But that's the British Army and Royal Marines.
