Correct. But Thranduil's father was Oropher, not Orodreth. Orodreth lived in the First Age.

Oropher died in the battle of the last allience, along with two thirds of his army. Thranduil survived and returned to found Mirkwood. Am I right?

Two Gil-Galads...confusing.
 Anyway, he was killed during the battle of Dagorlad, and since Gil Galad hasn't stated why, I'll say it: It was because he and his army rushed forward before Gil-galad had given signal, and so they were cut off from the army.

NightKnight has it! Oropher died because he rushed too quick AND was ill-armed so, the NK man its your go! Edit: Oropher founded Greenwood i believe, then Thranduil just became the new king
