Aman, thanks for the compliment! BTW, tell Pyro also, because he needs to know as well!

Anyways, i'm sorry if i will be inactive for a while, but lots of stuff going on. I'm not saying i'm taking a leave of absence, it's just that my posting will be in short supply! Sorry for the inconvinence!

I think that the counsil would be a good time for the dwarves to air some opinions on Balin's foolishness if they have anything.

Quote:
If that's ok, could some of the dwarves get lost in a small group and possibly be saved by Lin and Thorgeleb in some way?
We also need that to happen as well. I don't think but Balin would be so stupid as to send a couple of dwarves on a scouting mission, but what do you guys think. They wouldn't get lost if they blazed the trees as they went along...Any ideas you guys?

Cheers!

Alright! Spawn of Ungoliant, Beware! *gets stepped on by over-large arachnid*

Anyway, I like the idea of lighting the forest on fire to mark the path. Could that possibly draw the Spiders to us?

Lighting the forest on fire? Oh fun, fun!! Yay!

Haha, I've put up a Save, to be filled out soon.

Imladris, I know this isn't really my place, but if your pm to Gird is about his not posting, well, I know him in real life and he doesn't have much time on the computer right now...

Oh no, no! When I said blaze I meant like marking the trees with hatchets to mark their path. I don't think the elves or the trees would be too happy if they set fire to the forest... *cough*

However , I do like the fire idea. We'll just have it be a bon fire that was meant to keep the spiders and such away...or something like that.

Melisil , thanks for telling me about Gird...could you carry his character for him? And thank you for telling me where he'd gone to...

Cheers all!

I don't know, but technically, by the rules of the Shire, he's not supposed to be playing anymore...

Melisil please check your PMs.

Wait...wait...wait. I have just discovered an inconsistency here. Aman, aren't the dwarves supposed to be on the elf path that goes past the elven-king's halls? Or was Balin stupid enough to just think he could go straight through it?

Just checking in here with the players and owners:

This game was started on January 19th and was scheduled to run 14 weeks.

Halfway point for the game should have been around March 8th.

End date for the game is Monday, April 26th.

I fired off a PM to Aman earlier today, but she wasn't on at her normal time. I know she has been extremely busy lately so I'm not sure when she will next be on, which is why I'm making a call.

As Pio has so kindly told us, we passed our half way point a long time ago, and, going the way we're going, I don't think that we'll be able to finish on time. So, I have come up with a plan. Tonight, I will do a forwarding post that will bring us to the gates of Moria in diary form . This diary will tell how we got lost, how Thorgorleb and Linsie rescued some dwarves from the spider, and how Thorgorleb led them out. In FotR, Tolkien tells us that the journal they found had been written in many different hands, so if you would like to contribute a journal entry, please post it on the Discussion Thread and I will paste it before Ori's entry. I will not be waiting for all the entries to come in as we don't have time for that.

I will make the forwarding post tonight.

I know this is extremely hasty, but we only have about four weeks to complete this game.

Cheers,
Imladris
